This is Aside Manga News for July 24th, 2026.
Yesterday as part of Manga Mavericks Books industry panel at San Diego Comic Con, they have announced the license for Rin Kawano’s Our Insignificant Justice. The single manga volume will be published in both print and digital editions in March 2027. The print edition will be an A5 size (5.83″ x 8.27″), around 248 pages, and cost $14.99 USD.
The manga is broken up into 6 stories, across 7 chapters, which tell the impacts of a singer named Sayoko Tano who suddenly went missing. The book is rated 13+ as it does contain some mature themes. The author of the manga, Rin Kawano, has also worked with various musical artists previously and a promotional video for the series which was sung by “ui” was released back in 2023 to go with the volume release.
The manga was originally published by the Japanese company Two Virgins under their Michikusa Comics print line. As part of the company’s 2025 Autumn Catalog for foreign rights licensing, Our Insignificant Justice was one of the titles included. Other titles such as Motionless, Oni & Dawn: Bakumatsu High School Girls, and Vegetable Sandwich have been previously licensed from them by Manga Mavericks Books which will be released later this year and through 2027. Fans of Alternative [Self Liner Note], also released by Manga Mavericks Books may enjoy this newly announced title with its themes of music and how to leave an impact on the world. Pre-orders for Our Insignificant Justice are available now on the Manga Mavericks Books website and will be available by other retailers in the coming weeks.
